Marquez wants Pablo Torre to play for Barça Atletico this Saturday

Torre plays for Spain U21s on Friday but could be rushed back due to shortages

Pablo Torre will reinforce Barça Atlètic this Saturday if nothing changes in the coming days. The Cantabrian has only made one appearance for the B team, on September 24 against Real Murcia, and this Friday (8:00 p.m.) he plays a match with the Spain U-21 side, a friendly against Japan in La Cartuja.

Despite that, Rafa Márquez's intention is for Torre to join the team for the match between Barça and Athletic Bilbao reserves on Saturday at the Estadi Johan Cruyff at 7:00 p.m.

Pablo Torre will be accompanied by goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, already used to traveling on the same day of the game. He has done it more than once when he has been called up with the first team, for example, such as a few weeks ago at Mestalla and the next day Barça Atletic faced Cornellà.

Marquez is short of players because five youngsters (Barberá, Ilias, Garrido, Valle and Fabio) play a friendly against Japan on Saturday at the Pinatar Arena with Spain U19s.

Agreement for minutes

When Xavi met with Pablo Torre in September, an agreement was reached that he would strengthen the reserves when there was no first-team game. That's why he only did so once so far, in the last international break.

Now, with the World Cup, there is no activity for Xavi's men and the Spaniard will play with Barça Atlètic. There is a rush within the club and the idea is that it be this Saturday, but we will have to see, of course, the minutes that Luis De la Fuente gives him with the U21 first and that there is no physical mishap.
