Marc Bernal and Jofre Torrents will remain with the Catalan club

La Masia does not rest. Barcelona announced on Wednesday the continuity of two young talents from the youth academy, Marc Bernal and Jofre Torrents, who will continue their development at the Catalan club.

Both players signed their new contracts with the club together with Joan Soler and José Ramon Alexanco, Barça's directors of youth football.

Barcelona wanted to thank the families of Marc Bernal and Jofre Torrents on social media for their confidence in allowing the two young players to continue their development as footballers and as people.

Bernal, 16, is a defensive midfielder and Torrents, also 16, is a left-back. Both will go from Cadete A to Juvenil B and Juvenil A.

The Juvenil A team (U19) coached by Óscar López, with Javier Saviola as his assistant, have enjoyed a successful campaign in which they have been crowned champions of Group III of the División de Honor Juvenil (Youth Division of Honour).

The final blow came on the penultimate matchday with a 2-1 win over UE Cornellà, which put the finishing touch to a season of hard work and effort.
