Barça after Ecuador star Zambrano but Portuguese club also pushing hard
The Catalans will face competition to land the young midfielder this summer
Óscar Zambrano is one of the players in FC Barcelona's orbit to reinforce the midfield of their reserve team, albiet with a clear view to progression to the first team eventually given his great projection and the high price being asked for him by his club, Liga Deportiva Universitaria (LDU) of Quito.
There are several reports that indicate that Barça are serious about the 19-year-old Ecuadorian player, although the team that would be bidding the hardest at the moment would be a Portuguese club, whose name has not been revealed yet.
This club would be willing to offer €3 million for the player, although LDU wants more and is asking for five, in addition to several considerations, such as keeping a percentage of the player's rights.
There is also interest from Major League Soccer in the United States and Zambrano himself has admitted in an interview in his country, specifically to the outlet Primicias, that offers are coming in from various places.

"My agent told me that three countries have been approaching me and now they are looking at it, especially LaLiga," the player revealed, although without specifically mentioning the name of Barcelona.
"I hope it happens, but I'm not in a hurry to leave, I'm aware of my young age and I want to leave when I'm not lacking anything. I want to be one hundred percent ready in all areas, because it's Europe."
