Carlos Tevez admits: It's possible that I retire at the end of the year

The Boca Juniors foward has revealed he's weighing up whether or not to continue in the game

Carlos Tevez says he could call time on his football career at the end of the current Argentine season.

Tevez re-joined boyhood club Boca Juniors in 2014 from Juventus, but two years on feels his time in the game could be coming to an end.

“Retiring at the end of the year is a possibility,” he admitted in a press conference.

“I’m going to think about it. It’s a personal decision, it doesn’t have anything to do with football.

“I don’t know how much more I can give. You get tired of the day-to-day which comes with football.”

The 32-year-old’s career has taken in West Ham United, Manchester City, Manchester United and Juve, but he was always likely to end his playing days with Boca.

On another note, he complained that the press are to blame for the three-game ban he’s currently serving.

“The sanction was given to me by journalists, not the committee,” he said.

“They started putting pressure on to give me a three game ban.”
