Victor Font, one of three candidates to be the next FC Barcelona president, is insisting on Eric Garcia being signed immediately.
Ronald Koeman has asked for the Man City man. Font believes Koeman’s words “show the lack of depth the sporting project has”.
“One way of looking at it would be to immediately signing Eric Garcia to strengthen the spine of the team. The Copa is in its decisive phase, the Champions League is coming and Madrid are faltering in La Liga.
“Between us we have to do the best we can to aspire to titles this year.”
