Toni Freixa launches election posters attacking Laporta and Florentino Perez
The Barca presidential candidate has upped his campaign measures
Toni Freixa has opted to accelerate his campaign ahead of the elections on March 7. The Barcelona presidential candidate has launched a poster campaign in the city, hitting out at Joan Laporta, a rival candidate, and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
One poster read ‘Parece que en los debates alguoien me esta hacienda Luz de Gas’. (“It seems in the debates someone is gaslighting me,”). This refers to Laporta not attending any debates. ‘Luz de Gas’ is also a nightclub in the city where Joan Laporta goes sometimes to celebrate the club’s successes.
He also jabbed at Perez by writing: “I will not allow VARentino to control La Liga.”
The electoral campaign is heating up.
