Joan Laporta wants a meeting with Tusquets to try and keep elections on

The potential next president does not want them to be postponed because of the virus outbreak

Joan Laporta, one of Barcelona’s presidential candidates, has asked for a meeting with Carles Tusquets, the interim chief, to try and guarantee the election can take place as planned with the best health measures in place.

Laporta has asked for the meeting so that things can go ahead on January 24 with the right sanitary requirements.

The former 2003 and 2010 president left it clear that he wants things to happen as planned. Other pre-candidates like Emili Rousaud want them postponed, while Victor Font says the health of voters should be prioritised.
