Barça pres. hopeful Rousaud: I've been offered signatures for money

The club's former vice president confirmed a group of people are trying to sell signatures

Sunday's edition of SPORT will include an extensive interview with Emili Rousaud, Barcelona's former vice president and a candidate to replace Josep Maria Bartomeu in Jan. 24's election.

As well as talking about signings, solutions to the club's financial crisis and the Espai Barça project, Rousaud also claimed people are trying to sell signatures during the electoral campaign.

Asked if it was true that there is a group of people offering signatures to the candidates to help them reach the 2,257 they need to make the cut, Rousaud confirmed the stories.

"People have approached us to offer signatures in exchange for money," he told SPORT. "They told us they were signatures that would pass all of the controls in place at the club. We told them no.

"Our candidacy has basic principles. Maybe we won't make the cut, but we're not going to buy signatures or falsify signatures or do anything that is not completely clean and in line with Barça's values."

Remember that in 2015, another candidate, Jordi Farre, also reported such practices taking place.
