Steven N'Zonzi had to apologise after going out clubbing
The Frenchman partied after Sevilla's 5-0 humbling by Barcelona in the cup final
Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi had to apologise to fans after he was seen partying after the club's 5-0 humiliation by Barcelona in the Spanish Cup final.
Fans were angry with the team's performance but N'Zonzi was seen at a Madrid nightclub, having walked straight down the tunnel instead of staying around to thank the fans at full time.
“I want to apologise to Sevilla fans,” N’Zonzi said. “I made a mistake because I left after the game.
“What happened is also difficult for the players. We play every three days, I live alone, I train and I go back home. I am always at home. Yesterday my family and friends were there and I left.”
President Jose Castro said the player's behaviour was "not very appropriate".
