Eibar 2-2 Atletico (2-5): Simeone's men reach Copa del Rey semifinal

Atletico Madrid joined Alaves in the semifinal of the Copa del Rey after beating Eibar 5-2 on aggregate. 

Wednesday's match at Ipurua ended 2-2, with Eibar threatening a late and unlikely comeback at one stage. 

With a 3-0 lead from the first leg, Jose Maria Gimenez's second half header looked to have confirmed Atletico's place in the last four. 

Substitutes Sergi Enrich and Pedro Leon both then scored to give Eibar the lead on the night, although with less than 10 minutes to go they'd have still needed another three goals due to the away goals rule. 

Instead, pushing forward in search of another goal, they conceded on the break. 

Juanfran was the scorer, equalising on the night and giving the aggregate score a huge slant in Atletico's favour. 

Atletico and Alaves will be joined by two of Real Madrid, Celta Vigo, Barcelona and Real Sociedad in the semifinal.
