Argentina 1-0 Uruguay: Guido guides Albiceleste onwards in Copa America
Leo Messi set up the goal with a cross for the Real Betis man to nod home
Argentina’s Guido Rodriguez netted his first goal for his country to earn them a narrow win over Uruguay in the Copa America.
Real Betis’s Rodriguez headed home Lionel Messi’s cross in the 10th minute and proved the only strike of the match in Brasilia.
Argentina join Chile on four points at the top of their group, while Uruguay are bottom with no points, this being their first game.
The Albiceleste have now gone 15 games unbeaten and face Paraguay on Monday, as they look to extend that run.
