The vice president of the Brazilian Federation says the PSG star may be left out

The vice president of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), Francisco Noveletto, has placed Neymar's involvement at this summer's Copa America in doubt and suggested more information will come out following the rape allegations made against the forward last week.

"If Neymar plays, Brazil might not make (the trophy)," Noveletto told SBT. "I know the press and the press will be on top of him. There are a lot more things to appear. A friend of mine in Rio de Janeiro told me there's another video which is going to drop."

The PSG forward has been accused of rape at a Paris hotel, with the alleged victim filing a complaint against the former Barça player in Sao Paulo.

The woman's identity has not yet been revealed but it's said to be a Brazilian model who met Neymar through social media.

For Noveletto, the player "left a lot to be desired" at the World Cup in Russia, when Brazil were knocked out in the last eight by Belgium.

"If I have to bet, I would bet on him not playing in the Copa America," he added. "He's not in the right condition psychologically to play a Copa America and battle with a flock of journalists."

However, he says a possible Neymar absence wouldn't come from the coach Tite, but would have to come from the player himself. He says it would be "good business" for Neymar and the CBF.

He added: "He's not going to perform. Imagine that emotional strain... If he doesn't play, everyone wins."

Noveletto did say that he was expressing a personal opinion and not that of the CBF. The president of the CBF, Rogerio Cabocio, speaking in France on Tuesday, backed Neymar.

"We have complete confidence in him, we know the person he is, the man he is and the sportsman he is," he said. "The CBF have total confidence that (the allegations) will be cleared up as quickly as possible."
