The Argentina forward was furious as his country exited the Copa America

Lionel Messi returned to the dressing room at half time of Argentina's loss to Brazil on Tuesday angered that the referee had failed to show any yellow card for the repeated fouls he had suffered.

Messi was so fed up of what had happened that he waited for the Ecuadorian official to tell him what he thought of his permissiveness with the Brazil players, especially Real Madrid's Casemiro.

The Barcelona forward tried to rally his teammates after Gabriel Jesus' goal and was involved, getting on the ball and creating chances for Sergio Aguero.

He also tested Alisson a couple of times but was unable to turn things around, with Roberto Firmino eventually sealing a 2-0 win for Brazil and the hosts a spot in the final this weekend.

Messi does not usually approach referees in that manner, but on this occasion he was really angry, even though the referee did not seem to pay much attention to his complaints.
