How many times has Leo Messi won the Copa America?

Argentina have won the second most Copa Americas but since 1993, when they beat Mexico at home, they have not been able to win it again.

They have reached four finals in the last five editions but not been able to lift the trophy.

Messi lost to Brazil in July 2007, a 3-0 beating with goals from Julio Baptista, Dani Alves and a Roberto Ayala own goal.

Then in 2015 they lost to Chile after a 0-0 draw, going down on penalties with Higuain and Banega missing their spot kicks.

Then in the Copa Centenario 2016 the same thing happened, with Messi and Biglia failing from the penalty spot.

Brazil 2019 is a new chance for Messi to win his first Copa America.
