The fountain of Canaletas has become a place to pay homage to the victims of the Barcelona terror attack. Anonymous citizens from different countries have left candles, flowers and loving messages there in support of those killed and injured on Thursday.
On Friday morning there was a minute's silence in Plaza Catalunya with thousands of people attending, while afterwards many walked down La Rambla, shouting "we are not afraid".
