Record television audience for Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid

There was a huge audience for Saturday's game despite it being broadcast on paid for TV in Spain

Once again the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid has been confirmed as one of the biggest sporting events in the world. 

And it's evidenced in the television audience for the game. The Clasico was boradcast all over the world, with beIN LaLiga showing the game in Spain. 

It was watched in the country by an accumulative audience of 2,214,400 viewers on the paid fow channel and had an audience share of 52.3 percent. 

In total, the number of individuals that watched Barça draw with Madrid increaded 17.31 percent. 

Just four months after launching the channel, beIN has become the channel dedicated to football most wathced in Spain. It was the most viewed paid for channel in the months of September, October and November. 

Meanwhile, GOL was the channel chosen by viewes to follow the Clasico post game on free-to-air television. GOL had an audience of more than 300,000.
