The Barcelona centre-back stuck up for his former international teammate

Gerard Pique is taking on the role of leader on the pitch. The Barcelona centre-back even asked supporters not to insult players like Sergio Ramos during Sunday's Clasico win over Real Madrid.

In a sign of fair play picked up by the cameras of 'El partidado de Vamos", Pique responded to a small number of fans who had began chanting about Madrid defender Ramos. The Catalan lifted his finger as a way of disagreeing with the chants and asked them to change their attitude.

The supporters seemed to listen to Pique and the insults being aimed at Ramos reduced after his intervention.

Remember that Pique and Ramos, despite their differences in many ways, have reiterated on several occasions that they have a good relationship, to the point that they even have projects away from the pitch they're working on together.
