"Jose Mourinho will return to Real Madrid"

Ramon Calderon had added his name to those discussing Julen Lopetegui's future. In an interview with ESPN, the former Real Madrid president says Florentino Perez only has the return of Jose Mourinho on his mind. 

Calderon said: "If this president is with the team for a few years, and I think he will be, Mourinho will be here. No doubt. It's the only coach the president has respected. For better or worse.

"And I think he will be here, if he leaves Manchester [United] of course, now he's Manchester coach. But sooner or later, I think he will be here." 

Lopetegui's future is not clear and it's suggested a bad result in Sunday's Clasico at Camp Nou will see him sacked.  

However, Calderon says the coach deserves more time and that it would be too soon to pull the trigger on a man only appointed in the summer. 

Mourinho may not be Lopetegui's immediate replacement if Lopetegui does go, though. The United coach is still under contract with United, although he is under pressure, too, following a bad start to the campaign.
