As Barcelona were not in the Club World Cup, he thinks it would be unneccessary

FC Barcelona defender Jordi Alba spoke about the upcoming clasico. He was asked about whether Barcelona should give Club World Cup winners Real Madrid a guard of honour at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"We will see what happens on Saturday but I think the guard of honour is done in competitions in which we've played, and we did not play the Club World Cup," said Alba.

He also said that with Neymar gone he feels "more free and more confident" and that Barcelona are going the to the Bernabeu "with the idea of winning".

Alba added: "We're arriving at the game in good form but against Real Madrid it's always a different and complicated game. If we win at the Bernabeu I would not rule out Madrid (from winning the title) but it would be a big blow (for them)."
