Jordi Alba a doubt for Real Madrid game as Arda Turan returns

A statement from Barça explained how the two players are doing and their availibility for upcoming games

FC Barcelona have began to prepare for the Clasico against Real Madrid on Saturday. The good news for Luis Enrique is that he has Arda Turan back, who was not available for the Real Sociedad game due to a fever.

As well as Arda, though, after Monday's training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, Barça have given some bad news regarding Jordi Alba.

A statement revealed that Arda, who didn't train in the two days before the game at Anoeta, has been given the all clear and was able to train with his teammates as normal.

However, Alba did not train. The Barça left-back, according to the club, “has severe bruising to the tip of his fibula and to his knee, while he also has a sprain in his right ankle."

Those were the results of tests undertaken at the training ground on Monday after Alba clashed with Carlos Vela in the first half of the draw on Sunday.

The statement from the club said “his evolution will mark his availability for the coming matches," which includes the Clasico.
