Andres Iniesta played in the Clasico 38 times as a Barcelona player

Andres Iniesta left Barcelona for Japan in the summer. During his time at Barça, he took part in 38 Clasico fixtures but he will not take part on Sunday.

Asked by La Vanguardian how he will feel to watch it from afar, he said: "I will tell you after (laughs). But I don't think I will feel anything special, because one of the things that makes me happiest is not having the obligation to be there competing.

"There were many demanding years. Of course I miss my teammates, playing at Camp Nou, the fans and the atosphere of a game like this. I will always miss that."

How will he feel when the game starts? "I think a little nervous, hoping that [Barça] win and things go well."

NO MESSI

On Lionel Messi's absence through injury, he said: "Barça, without Leo, will always be less Barça, that is the reality. But it's happened before.

"The important thing is that there are players that try to make sure his absence is noticed as little as possible. This year, Barça have a spectacular squad."
