El Clasico: Real Madrid name squad to face Barça on Sunday
Benzema and Mendy are both missing for Carlo Ancelotti this weekend
Karim Benzema and Ferland Mendy are both missing for Real Madrid this weekend as they prepare to welcome Barcelona in El Clasico.
Benzema scored twice against Mallorca on Monday but then had to be taken off and has not recovered in time to face Barça in LaLiga.
The French striker has been Madrid's outstanding player this season and will be a big miss, as will defender Mendy, who also missed the game Mallorca injured.
Catlo Ancelotti has therefore named the following squad: Courtois, Lunin, Diego Piñeiro, Carvajal, Alaba, Vallejo, Nacho, Marcelo, Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Valverde, Lucas, Ceballos, Isco, Camavinga, Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Jović, Bale, Vinícius, Rodrygo and Mariano.
