Denis Suarez asks for a period of reflection at Celta Vigo
The former Barca player was not happy with his team's survival by the skin of their teeth
Former Barca midfielder Denis Suárez says Celta Vigo need a "period of reflection and analysis" after staying up by the skin of their teeth on the last day of the season in La Liga.
"We did something bad, no doubt about it, when we've suffered so much, we should learn and correct our errors," said Denis.
Celta drew 0-0 with Espanyol and if Leganes had got a late goal against Madrid they would have gone down.
"From the pitch to the offices we all want a great Celta, and so we have to give the best of ourselves. Now some hours have passed, it's time to start a period of reflection and analysis. Self-criticism will make us stronger," he added.
He played 26 games, starting 20 of them, but injuries kept him from playing on more occasions.
"This club and fans deserve a first division team and not this bittersweet taste this season has left."
