Radja Nainggolan injured during Milan derby ahead of Barca UCL clash
The Belgian midfielder received a blow to the ankle after a heavy tackle by Biglia
Radja Nainggolan suffered an ankle injury during Inter Milan’s game against rivals AC Milan after a tough tackle from Lucas Biglia.
Alarm bells are ringing in the Italian capital as Spalletti’s side may lose one of their most important players for the trip to Barcelona on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Biglia put in a hard challenge and it hurt Nainggolan’s ankle. Although he tried to keep playing he had to be subbed off a few minutes later. The Argentine was only booked for the foul.
In place of the Belgian Borja Valero came on, and he might get a start at Barca in midweek. Brozovic and Vecino, the other two midfielders, also started the Milan derby. The Italians held nothing back and paid the price as they saw a key piece of their team suffer an injury blow.
