The other semifinal, between Juventus and Milan, had already been called off

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Coppa Italia semifinal between Napoli and Inter Milan, due to be played on Thursday, has been called off due to coronavirus.

It's the first Napoli home game which has been postponed. Barcelona played their last week in the Champions League.

The other semifinal, between Juventus and AC Milan scheduled for Wednesday, had already been called off for the same reason. No new date has been announced for either fixture.

There's a state of alarm in Italy due to the spread of the virus. More than 2,500 people have been diagnosed in the country and football has been heavily affected.

A number of games have been called off, while Inter's Europa League game was played behind closed doors last week. Upcoming games in Spain (Valencia-Atalanta and Getafe-Inter) will also be played without fans. As things stand, there are no plans for Napoli's trip to Barça on March 18 to be affected.

The Italian government have recommended that sports clubs consider playing their games behind closed doors for the next month.
