Ex-Barcelona midfielder Alen Halilovic set for Bologna move

The Croatian has not played regularly since joining Milan

The future of Alen Halilovic, currently of Milan, remains in the air with one week to run in the transfer window. With Gennaro Gattuso not counting on him, Bolgona have made made a move. 

Halilovic, who joined Barcelona as a teenager and played for the club's B team (2014-17), debuted for the first team but never cemented a place in the squad and opted to try his luck in the Bundesliga with Hamburg. He also played for Las Palmas. Now, at 22, according to Sky Sport, Bologna could be his next step. 

After joining Milan on a free last summer, he signed a deal until 2021, but he's not featured enoug hand is ready for another cahnge of scenery. La Liga side Girona were also linked, but they have ruled out a deal. 

With Milan, Halilovic has played just 60 minutes. There have also been reports linking him with Turkish side Besiktas, as well as Spanish sides Huesca, Betis and Espanyol. 

Bologna are 18th in Serie A, fighting relegation. They have 14 points from 20 games.
