Cristiano: Juventus showed they wanted me more than anyone
The Portuguese star left Real Madrid after nine years at Los Blancos and has started a new era
Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to streaming platform DAZN where he looked at his move to Juventus and his recent past as a Madridista.
"I'm very happy. The team is very good, it's surprising me in a good way. We train very hard most days, there's never an easy day here."
Cristiano explained why he chose Juve.
"There are things in life that happen for a reason and this was one of them. I didn't expect to play here but things happen in a natural way," said the Portuguese forward.
"As everyone knows, Juve are one of the best teams in the world and it was an easy decision. Obviously what I did in Madrid was incredible, I won it all, I have a lot of friends there and my family live there. However deciding to come to this extraordinary club was easy, they showed they wanted me more than anyone to sign me. They gave me an opportunity and now I am happy, I want to make history here too.
"The important thing for this club is to win. Serie A, the Italian Cup and go far in the Champions League."
Ronaldo also said his overhead kick against Juve was "the goal of my career".
