Emerson, on Dani Alves: He's always been an example for me
The Brazilian compared himself to the former Barca defender
Real Betis right back Emerson has compared himself to Dani Alves in an interview with UOL.
Alves played for Sevilla before signing for Barcelona and Emerson said: "He's always been an example for me."
The 20 year old, who Barca partly own, said: "Who wouldn't want to play at Barcelona? I'm focused at Betis and very happy here. The club opened its doors for me to come to Europe and I want to return that confidence in the best way possible. The future belongs to God."
Emerson will have been in Spain one year by February. "My adaptation has been the best possible," he said. "It's good to know, if it's true, that Barca are looking at bringing me in sooner than planned. It's important because it gives me more confidence to keep working, but I'm focused on Betis and want to help the club achieve our season objectives."
