The French midfielder, who will leave PSG on a free transfer, could be the latest player to try and reinvent himself with Betis

The Adrien Rabiot saga continues to rumble on without a clear conclusion. It appears he will end up in LaLiga but it won't be with Barcelona. In fact, the latest team to be linked with his signing is none other than Real Betis.

'ElDesmarque' have revealed that Betis have made an offer to the French midfielder. Barça were originally interested in Rabiot but have cooled their interest after landing Frenkie de Jong in January. His high signing on fee, rumoured to be €15m, and wage demands have also put off the board.

The 24-year-old is free to sign for any side on the 1st june. Betis can't offer him European football next season but they are willing to match some of his financial demands. He'll immediately become the best-paid player at the club earning €3m per season - a long way off the €10m per season he asked from Barça. The ace in the sleeve would be a clause meaning Rabiot was able to claim up to 50% of any future sale.

Serra Ferrer transformed the success of a fellow PSG outcast last season when he signed Lo Celso and they hope to do it again with Rabiot. But will the demanding midfielder be willing to sacrifice European football in order to earn a larger chunk of money should be perform well at Betis?
