Yaya Touré answers who would win between Guardiola's Barça and Manchester City

The former Barça player has no doubts about who would come out on top in a hypothetical duel between two of the best teams in history

Yaya Touré was a player who left his mark wherever he went. Both in Barcelona and even more so in Manchester, the Ivorian 'giant' became one of the influential players on the pitch. He was part of Barça sextete, as well as  the beginning of the Pep’s era in England.

Touré left Barcelona in 2010 to embark on the Manchester City project, six years before Guardiola's arrival at the club and when Sheikh Mansour had just arrived at the Etihad Stadium. Twelve years on from his arrival, City have won a historic treble.

"This is what I predicted. When I made my debut, I said I came to this club because one day it would be better than United," he said.

And so it has turned out to be.

Now he can reflect on two astounding squads he was part of: could Guardiola's Barça beat this Manchester City of the treble? Touré doesn't have too many doubts.

"It would be difficult, but that team, with a mix of superstars and so many great players, I think they would win 100 per cent," he said.

"Imagine Iniesta when he was 26 or 27, Xavi at 28... those players at that time were incredible," he added. He started in the Champions League final against Manchester United in 2009, the Culés have fond memories of him.

"It was a dream. Even when we were training, it was very intense the levels we had every day," he confessed.
