Xavi's discarded players to make room in January

Barcelona want to reinforce Xavi Hernandez's squad in the January transfer window and for that, they need to free up spaces. There's currently one registration spot free, which was Miralem Pjanic's.

The idea was to register Alex Collado in it, but for administrative reasons that was not possible. Dani Alves is set to rejoin but if Barça want more new players then more spots must be freed.

The two players who may go are Luuk de Jong and Samuel Umtiti. The French defender is the one player who has not played a single minute so far this season. Meanwhile De Jong's backer, Koeman, is gone and his profile isn't a good fit with Xavi's football.

Kun Aguero is a different story. He is out for three months while his heart is tested. We'll have to see what the outcome is.
