The Barça coach says there are rules the club must comply with and he doesn't anticipate help

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez continues to beat around the bish when it comes to talking about the possible return of Lionel Messi.

Asked if he thought LaLiga president Javier Tebas could now help Barça to facilitate the Argentine's return, he simply said that "it's a question for the president of LaLiga. You've asked the wrong person. There are rules and I don't see any help. There are rules that must be complied with."

Barça continue to do everything they can to try to fit a future contract for Leo Messi into LaLiga's 'Financial Fair Play' regulations, but there is still some way to go before the next transfer window.

Tebas said less than a week ago that "today they can't sign Messi, but hopefully they will manage it. There is still a lot of time left. We are awaiting a viability plan. They can sell players. Today it is difficult. Hopefully, as a league, Barça will make the necessary moves for Messi to come, but we will not change any rules so that they can sign Messi. That's what we expect. I would like Messi to play in this competition."
