The Barcelona coach responded to comments made by Javier Tebas

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is realistic regarding January signings. He knows the reality of the club's financial situation, but is not closing the door on any possibility. That's what he said ahead of Saturday's game against Elche.

"At the moment, the economic situation is difficult, that's the reality, but we will see what happens," he said.

In addition, he also assured he's not aware of any negotiationg regarding the possible arrival of Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland after president Joan Laporta met with the striker's agent Mino Raiola this week.

"On Haaland, I know absolutely nothing, we have spoken about it at all," he added.

However, he did take the chance to respond to LaLiga president Javier Tebas, who said it would be impossible for Barça to sign the Norway star.

"It's in everyone's interest that players like Haaland are in LaLiga," Xavi said.
