The Barça coach assured that he is happy with the 33-year-old's performance

Xavi Hernández appeared at a press conference ahead of next Saturday's clash against Cádiz at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

The Barça coach spoke about Jordi Alba's situation and his possible departure -already frustrated- to Inter Milan.

He understands the player from L'Hospitalet and assured that

"He's in the right frame of mind and that's the most important thing of all. He is being humble with his situation and is playing well. The other day he played a very good game".

Regarding the full-back's recent comments, Xavi insisted that:

"I understand Jordi, the statements are logical and I understand them. Everyone has an individual need and wants to express their opinion. It's normal. I don't feel offended by his statements", he concluded.

Barça, in a rich vein of form in LaLiga (three consecutive wins) and after last Wednesday's Champions League exhibition at the Camp Nou against Viktoria Plzen, will be looking for their fourth win in the domestic competition against a Cádiz side who have made a very poor start to the tournament.

The match will be played on Saturday 10 September at 18:30 at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in Cádiz.
