Xavi Hernandez: I don't have to be a sergeant

The new Barcelona boss does not want to rule with an iron fist at the club

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez spoke ahead of the derby with Espanyol. He said the dressing room is responding positively.

“I don’t need to shout or be a sergeant, I said it’s about order, not discipline. It’s been a great few days together.”

He had spoken to everyone in the squad individually.

“We’ve had group and individual chats, we don’t have more time and I hope we can see things in the game and psychologically. We’re here to get results.”

The Catalan insisted he wants a good attitude. “When we’ve established order, things work. It’s about order, attitude, sacrifice. When you win a derby you feel reinforced.”
