Xavi doesn't see Atlético's Joao Felix at Barcelona because he has other priorities
The Portgual forward said it's his dream to join Barça in an interview this week
After returning from his loan spell at Chelsea, Joao Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid, as his relationship with Diego Simeone is not good. The Portuguese forward has never hidden his desire to join Barça, and this week he publicly expressed it.
Félix, represented by Jorge Mendes, has offered himself to Barça, bearing in mind that he is a player that president Joan Laporta has always liked and that the Catalan club already tried to sign two summers ago, when Griezmann returned to Atlético Madrid. A swap deal was attempted at the time, but in the end there was no agreement between the two clubs.
Two years later, Felix and Barça have crossed paths again, although the chances of him ending up in a Blaugrana shirt seem remote at present. To begin with, because Xavi does not see him in the team.
The coach from Terrassa sees him more as a striker than as a midfielder and believes that he is far from what he is looking for, which is an inside player with the ability to make the final pass, with another Portuguese, Bernardo Silva, being his favourite, although the arrival of the Manchester City player is also difficult for economic reasons.

Xavi has three reinforcements so far this summer (Gündogan, Iñigo Martínez and Oriol Romeu) and would like to have some more before the start of La Liga, confessing that his priority is an inside player, a position where Xavi does not see Joao Félix, rather than a right-back, a position he believes Deco, the club's new technical secretary, should reinforce.
