Xavi: I am not contemplating not winning against Benfica
The Catalan coach is only thinking about winning against the Portuguese visitors
Xavi is going for it. More than once he was asked about the chance of defeat but he did not reply because he’s not even considering it an option. “I’m not contemplating not winning,” said Xavi on Monday.
“We have lost against Bayern, we’ve lost against Benfica, which are the two games we have left.
“The scenario is easy; win one of the two games and I prefer to think about victory. Later we’ll see if we win, tomorrow there’s another press conference and if that happens we’ll talk, but I prefer to think positively. I think we’ll play a good game, dominate, playing well and scoring goals.
“What I’ve lived at Barcelona is winning, qualifying and fighting for titles, that is what I will try to transmit. If now I speak about not qualifying, it’s not something I’m thinking of.”
