Xavi: I'm in contact with Laporta and I wish him the best
The Barcelona legend analysed the club election result
Xavi Hernandez has given his first interview to Bein Sports after Barcelona’s presidential election. The current Al Sadd coach analysed the victory of Joan Laporta.
“Laporta is a good friend, I know him well,” said Xavi. “He’s the best president that I’ve had. Barcelona will return to the top in terms of sporting results and economically.
“There are problems to resolve but he can do it all. I wish him the best. I’m in contact with him and I’m very happy.”
Victor Font, a rival for the presidency, had bet big on Xavi as the main man in his project, but it seems that the legend will have a role to play at Barca in the future either way.
