Juanda trained with the Barcelona first team on Thursday

Thursday's training brought new faces in Barcelona's first team. Alpha Diounkou and Juanda Fuentes were called up by Xavi along with the more regulars Estanis Pedrola and Marc Casadó.

Focusing on Colombian winger Fuentes, he is one of the most promising young players of La Masia in recent times. At 19 years of age, he started out as a permanent fixture in Rafa Márquez's starting XI this season (12 starts in the first 15 league games), but in this last part of the season he has been playing more as an impact player.

In total, he has accumulated 24 appearances in the Spanish third tier, with two goals and two assists. He also played in the Youth League against Bayern and provided two assists.

Fuentes was 'away' from the Barcelona dynamic for a while when he went to the South American U-20 Championship, in which Colombia came third and qualified for the World Cup. Juanda scored a goal.

His family grew up in Colombia. His parents Juan Manuel and Marisol had Juan David and his sister Raquel while they lived in the country. When Juanda was four years old, they decided to come to Spain in search of a new life.

Once settled and adapted in the Catalan town of Montcada y Reixach, they had the youngest of the family, Ana Rebeca. They attach great importance to family ties and religion. Everything that happens to them is by the grace and work of God and they have the Bible as their main reference point.

With the ball at his feet, Juanda has always attracted attention. His first team was Montcada and after a year with Tecnofútbol, he returned to Montcada where he achieved something incredible, scoring 103 goals in one season.

Of course, that caught the attention of Barça, who brought him to Cadete B. Cadete A, Juvenil B and Juvenil A have been the teams he has played for since, always leaving his mark and some good goalscoring records.
