The Barcelona coach complained about how much time wasting was allowed

FC Barcelona did not start the new LaLiga season in the best possible way. The Blaugrana were held to a draw by a Getafe side who played to the limits of the rules to make the most of all their actions.

The team coached by José Bórdalas interrupted the game with continuous fouls and time-wasting that frustrated the Barça players.

At the end of the match, Barça coach Xavi Hernández showed his discontent for all the playing time that was lost during the match: "Use a stopped clock and that's the end of it, I've said it a thousand times, it is ridiculous."

It is a complaint from the Catalan coach that the data backs up. Of the 116 minutes that the match lasted, the game was stopped for more than half: 60.43 minutes. Therefore, more than one hour passed without the ball in play.

The ball was only in play for 56 minutes of the 116 minutes that the match lasted. Moreover, of the 15.25 minutes of added time in the second half, only 5.25 minutes were played.

Undoubtedly, these figures show the serious problem in LaLiga with time keeping and prove Xavi right about all the time that was lost in the match between Getafe and Barça.
