Worry at Barcelona over the Umtiti and Riqui Puig cases
The duo have not found clubs to move to this summer, unlike Neto and Mingueza
Samuel Umtiti and Riqui Puig are the two cases that are most difficult for Barcelona to solve, in terms of the players leaving.
While Mingueza is heading to Celta, Neto to Napoli and Braithwaite is looking at his options, these two cases seem frozen.
Umtiti may have to be sacked, while Riqui Puig needs a side where he can get quality minutes.
Umtiti is of interest to some Turkish sides but he’s more interested in a Ligue 1 return. There has been some contact with Lyon to this end. Umtiti has a high salary but would be willing to lower it to allow for a move and Barcelona would also do their part.
With Riqui Puig, the bigger sides interested in him have faded and only teams remain without too much potential this season. Barcelona have told his people they are willing to renew his deal for a season to loan him out. Italy could be his destination.
