Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the services of Barça's youth player Nico

Dark clouds hang over Nico Gonzalez's future at Barça, with both player and club in a dilemma about his role in the current team. Barça have an excess of midfielders in the squad and the Galician wants to have more game time in the next season to continue his growth, and a loan may be the solution.
Busquets, Pedri, Gavi, De Jong, Kessie, Sergi Roberto, Pjanic and even Collado - Xavi Hernandez is counting on a lot of players in the midfield, apart from Nico himself. Such a long list will make it impossible to give a regular opportunity to all of them. Whenever Busquets will be rested, Barça would have two main backups: Nico or Pjanic.
Between the two, it seems Pjanic has more of the club's faith, so long as he takes a pay cut. As such, Barça are open to all possible options with Nico and Wolverhampton have been showing interest in the midfielder, as was already indicated during the negotiations for Rúben Neves.
Everyone knows the relationship between Nico's agent, Jorge Mendes, and Wolverhampton, so an agreement is likely. But FC Barcelona do not contemplate a sale, since they believe in the player and his potential. A loan without an option to buy might be the way to go for the Barça management.
