The Dutch midfielder has made 99 appearances for Barça in the domestic competition.

FC Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who may be heading to the Premier League in the coming days, is one game away from the landmark 100 LaLiga appearances as a Barça player, but it remains to be seen if the Dutchman will reach his centenary in this competition.

The FC Barcelona number 21, who was a substitute against Rayo Vallecano, has an uncertain future. He is on the agenda of Manchester United and Chelsea with FC Barcelona counting on his transfer for economic and financial reasons.

It is unlikely that De Jong's future will be resolved soon, so the Dutchman should be at the Reale Arena in San Sebastian coming Sunday. With Busi suspended, he will likely get his 100th league appearance.

De Jong signed for Barça on 23 January 2019 from Ajax for 75 million euros plus a further 11 million euros in variables and was presented on 5 July 2019 at the Camp Nou in front of 19,850 fans.

He made his debut on 16 August 2019 in the first opening game of La Liga 2018-19, at San Mamés, against Athletic (1-0), at 22 years of age.

In the 99 games he's played so far, he has scored 8 goals, provided 9 assists and has seen 13 yellow cards, as well as being sent off twice for accumulation of cautions. He has a total of 7,795 minutes.

With De Jong on the pitch, Barça have won 62 LaLiga matches, drawn 19 and lost 18. Real Madrid, Betis, Real Sociedad and Valencia, with six encounters with each of them, are the teams he has faced most often.

In LaLiga, De Jong has faced 23 opponents and has not tasted defeat against Real Sociedad, Alavés, Sevilla, Celta, Mallorca, Elche, Eibar, Espanyol, Valladolid, Huesca and Leganés. The teams he has beaten the most times are Real Sociedad and Betis (5).

The Dutchman has completed 60 of the 99 league matches, he has started 89, substituted in 10 and substituted out in 27. His best streak has been 19 consecutive matches without defeat, with seven wins.

The Barça player has played a total of 141 official matches over four seasons, across five competitions. He has 13 goals, 18 assists and 11,275 minutes under his belt. He celebrated his centenary in October 2021, in the defeat against Benfica in a Champions League match.
