Barcelona winger Ez Abde has not been included in the squad for Tuesday's Diego Maradona Cup game against Boca Juniors in Saudi Arabia.
Clubs sources say it is not injury related but rather a bureaucratic issue that has prevented him from travelling with his teammates for the fixture.
The Moroccan winger, who scored his first Barça goal in the draw with Osasuna on Sunday, has been a regular in LaLiga under Xavi but has not been able to feature in the Champions League due to not being registered in the competition.
Now he has been denied another trip with the first team as bureaucracy has stopped him from making the trip to Riyadh. It's not related to a diplomatic problem between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, but merely a passport or documentation issue.
The former Hercules forward joined Barça last summer and has quickly made the step from the B team to the first team.
