When will Luis Suarez get his medical clearance to play?

He should work for a week with Brau to examine how his knee is

It's been 117 days since Luis Suarez had his knee operation, which kept him out for four months. That time is almost up. Thanks to the coronavirus confinement, there are still 11 matches left to play in La Liga. That means he can come back and play... but of course, right now, he's not ready.

Like the rest of his team-mates he attended the training ground on Wednesday to undertake coronavirus tests, but he did not take them because before joining group training he must work by a week by himself with Juanjo Brau, the physical trainer, with the idea of working his way back to fitness.

It is a standard process after a knee operation and one that he has not been fully able to do. While his team-mates are working on getting match fit, Suarez still has some physical fitness work to do first.

So it is unlikely he will get medical clearance to play this week, but only after he has been watched by the medics in training.
