The dressing room was convinced Madrid would win
Nothing has changed their opinion after the first leg
Barcelona's players are now focused on the Chelsea game. They know the importance of the game and the need to take a good result back to Camp Nou. Even more so now they see Real Madrid in the last eight.
The Barça players, in contrast to others, maybe, are convinced Madrid will now go through, despite having the second leg to play in Paris. They have never doubted their potential in the Champions League and always felt Zidane's side were favourites for the tie, despite their form domestically.
Barça's dressing room were clear that Madrid would rock PSG's Champions League dream. For many reasons. The first, that the Champions League is the only thing they have left this season. The second, is that Madrid always come alive in the competition and on the big European nights. And the third, because they didn't back PSG, a team still to make a mark on the big European stage.
For that reason, the Barça players were not at all surprised by the first leg result at the Santiago Bernabeu. They knew they had to come out strong to keep their season alive.
