The Brazilian U-23 national team, led by Vitor Roque, is currently in Fez, where they had a scheduled friendly match against Morocco on Monday, as part of their preparations for the upcoming Olympic qualifiers. However, Morocco has experienced an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8, resulting in over 820 deaths and 672 injuries.

The players and coaching staff of the Brazilian team had to evacuate their hotel rooms due to the earthquake. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) reported that they were relocated to the pool area and spent over an hour there. Fortunately, all of them are in perfect condition.

In a statement, Moroccan authorities mentioned that 290 people died in the province of Al Haouz (south of Marrakech and near the epicentre), 190 in Taroudant, 89 in Chichaoua, 30 in Ouarzazate, 13 in Marrakech, 11 in Azilal, 5 in Agadir, 3 in Casablanca, and 1 in Al Youssoufia.

It's worth noting that in the previous match between Morocco and Brazil last Thursday, the African team won 1-0, thanks to a goal by Zakaria El Ouahdi. The second match was scheduled for Monday at 21:00 local time.
