Victor Valdés: "If I talk about Neymar, maybe the club will sack me!"
The Barça legend and current Juvenil A coach didn't want to say too much on Neymar's potential return to the club
Víctor Valdes spoke to the media ahead of the match between Barça's U19 clash with Ajax at the official opening of the Estadi Johan Cruyff which has been built inside the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
As you could probably image, Valdes was asked a host of questions ranging from his new role, to Ansu Fati's debut and, of course, the potential return of Neymar to the Camp Nou.
"What can I tell you about Neymar? I spent a year with him and he always stood out, that's something you have to appreciate."
When pressed further, Valdes said: "He's a great player and he was crucial in the European Cup that we won."
However, straight away, the former goalkeeper realised he better change the topic. "Now that I'm here you put me in compromising position where if I say any more, maybe they'll sack me. I and want to remain at the club."
