Victor Font: If I win the elections, Leo Messi will renew
The pre-candidate wants to make the Argentine happy with a good project around him
Victor Font, a pre-candidate for Barcelona's presidency, says that if he wins the elections, Leo Messi will renew his deal and the club will keep having the privilege of "having the best player in the world".
"The Barca-Messi association has to be strategic, if we lose Messi, the cost will be very high," said Font in a YouTube interview with El Iniestazo. "If I am president at the end of the season, Messi will renew.
"It makes me suffer that Barcelona fans have doubts about Messi, we have to appeal to justice and think of all that he has given us. The team is bad, there is no project, but he is still the best in the world.
"But how must it be for Messi not to want to be at the club that he loves most? Some lose faith in the best in the world and he doesn't deserve it."

Font recognised that Barca left bad sensations in the Cadiz clash.
"It seemed like we were in a positive dynamic, but it was a big step back. We also have bad luck with injuries, Ansu Fati, Pique, Dembele."
