The video refereeing system helped make sure Barca got the win they deserved
VAR was the big protagonist in Barcelona's agonising 1-0 win over Valladolid at the Zorrilla.
Keko Gontan headed home in the 92nd minute but the goal was confirmed to be offside by VAR. Gerard Pique insisted it was offside but referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea waited to hear from VAR.
Television images confirmed Gontan was fractionally offside and the goal was ruled out, with Barca taking home the three points. Earlier they had a goal from Suarez correctly disallowed as well for offside.
